Heads up! We have a new location and time!

IVSO’s March 10 performance, Be Inspired by Story!, has been relocated to the Dr. Mary Margaret Weeg Cultural Centre at Illinois Valley Community College. The performance time has changed as well, now beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Change your GPS and reset the reminders in your phone, because you do not want to miss this performance featuring the amazing talents of our Young Performers’ Competition winners: Senior Division Gabrielle Mosley performing Regrets and Resolutions by Gary Schocker on the flute, and Junior Division Hallee Loza performing the Flute Concerto in G Major by Carl Philipp Stamitz.

The afternoon will also include the Hungarian March from The Damnation of Faust by Hector Berlioz, the Concert Suite from Our Town by Aaron Copland, Peer Gynt, Suite No. 1 by Edvard Grieg, and The Firebird Suite (1919 version) by Igor Stravinsky.

It will be quite an afternoon so please do join us. Tickets for adults are only $20.00, K-12 students free, and college students $5.00 with their ID.

Once again, like a repeated strain in Berlioz’ march, the March 10 performance will now be presented at the Dr. Mary Margaret Weeg Cultural Centre at Illinois Valley Community College, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
