Who inspires you? Who’s inspired by you?

Be challenged and encouraged by other young musicians in the Illinois Valley as you prepare and audition for a solo spot with the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra!

This competition is open to students grades 6 through 12 who live or study in the Illinois Valley Community College district or as far east as Morris on I-80.

One winner will be selected from the Junior Division and from the Senior Division. Both winners will be awarded a monetary gift as well as the opportunity to perform in two local school concerts on February 19 and in the IVSO’s March 7 concert in LaSalle-Peru High School’s Matthiessen Memorial Auditorium.

Auditions in Matthiessen Memorial Auditorium will be begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, but the mail-in application form and $10 fee must be postmarked by November 8, 2020.
